I first discovered my love for teaching in high school. I excelled in many areas and helped my fellow students learn. As I furthered my education, my passion for teaching grew and my style changed. I believe in using the differentiated approach to teaching--based upon the seven intelligences. I plan for all lessons being taught, and state the objectives on the board for each lesson. I present the lesson, allowing the students to interact and respond by activating prior knowledge, discussing points and inviting them to ask questions. I like to interject related activities at 20-30 minute intervals to keep their interest up. I also like to provide centering and closing activities.
