As a Liberal Studies major pursuing a multi-subject credential, I seek jobs where I can apply the skills I have learned and furthermore, gain experience that will help me as a future teacher. I have a number of experiences working with children and their parents. At Cal Poly and CSUB, I have had the opportunity to work directly with students in various elementary schools and activities. A Little Bit About Me...

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemisty with a minor in statistics. As an undergraduate, I tutored middle-schoolers in science and math as a volunteer at a local school. I was recently a substitute teacher, teaching all ages and in areas such as the biological sciences, algebra, calculus and psychology. I currently tutor a college student in mathemtics.
I first discovered my love for teaching in high school. I excelled in many areas and helped my fellow students learn. As I furthered my education, my passion for teaching grew and my style changed. I have molded my favorite, and most effective, professor's techniques into my own hybrid. I use humor and compassion to develop the student's understanding. I try to teach to the student and not at them. I teach study habits that will help them learn more effectively on their own.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with students of the elementary level since 2004. I have worked as an instructional aide, tutor, and substitute teacher in Delano, CA. I have a BA degree in Liberal Studies, and I am currenlty in the credential program at California State University, Bakersfield looking to comepleting the program and maintaining a teaching credential in multiple subjects. This past year I tutored students in English.
All children learn in different ways. Some children learn by listening, while others need visual to see what they are learning. I am very patient with students. I have worked with English Language Learners throughout my experience working with students. I really enjoy teaching students especially to help them get to their full potential.
