A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in motivating children to be self learners through independent discovery. I particularly enjoy watching an apathetic student become excited when he/she has grasped a concept that was frustrating for him/her. I am a firm believer in children becoming responsible for their own learning. This is achieved when the teacher is able to teach and the child is able to learn. I feel that all children can reach their own potential when they see realize the joy of learning.
I have taught grade three for four years. I have taught fifth grade for five years. I have worked as a special education teacher in a moderate-to-severe special day class for two years. I have substitute taught for two years in grades k-12. I am currently an adjunct ESL teacher for a junior college and have taught pre-level I for two years and levels I and II for two years.
