I try to make it visual for the kids. I Make it fun and interesting. I MAke it creative as possible.

I enjoy reviewing an assignment, lesson, chapter, or other student material, and determining what is needed from the student. I also believe in making learning as fun and interesting as possible, and in helping students set their own goals for a lesson or for a subject.
I worked in educational assessment for eight years, developing custom tests (in the reading/language arts and social studies content areas) for state departments of education. My focus was on creating tests (multiple-choice and essay-based) in alignment with state standards. I would describe my teaching style as flexible. I believe that students learn differently and it's up to the teacher to adjust accordingly. My greatest asset as a teacher is my patience. If a student doesn't get it it's no problem. We just do it again and perhaps in a different manner. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very Socratic. I rarely give answers to students. I love to have them search and discover the answers on their own. This involves a lot of questions and guiding the student to the correct answer. When students discover the answer on their own it is much more rewarding and long lasting for them. I firmly believe in fostering critical thinking and building students' logical reasoning skills. I constantly remind them that the skills they are developing with me are not just valuable in math but stretch into real world situations as well and will help them throughout their entire life.
