My comments on tutoring GRE : good at the math part and the reading comprehension

I have 10 years of experience as a tutor with three companies. I have a bachelor with child development. The major has trained me to work with children. I have lots of patients working with children. I have worked with children with special needs from ADHD to Autism. I have also worked with young students as young as preschool. I have a Bachelors in child Development and minor in psychology. A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was interested in English education, especially in terms of helping students improving their reading and writing skills. I followed this interest by tutoring at the university writing lab, as well as doing frequent one-on-one tutor sessions with students in need. At the end of each quarter I conducted private, one-on-one counseling sessions with the goal of helping students pass Cal Poly's Graduation Writing Requirement. At Mills College, while taking a class on pedagogical theory, I became a teacher's assistant at Merrit College, where I regularly led group discussions.

My teaching style consists of consistency, understanding, consideration, connection and positive acknowledgement. All children need consistency to help with academic success. This means a certain time, environment, etc. in which they study or learn. Understanding refers to the fact that not all children study or learn the same so this is pertinent in order to learn and accomodate each child you help.
