Ahrend R. Torrey is a Mississippi spiritual poet- painter. His poetry relates to nature and spirituality but most of all life and what he experiences through his life journey. I love to teach Grammar! This is one part of Language Arts that many students fear, however can be mastered. I taught English for a few years and really enjoyed teaching the students about the world of writing. I specialized in the four types of writing: Narrative, Descriptive, Expository, and Persuasive. I also strongly believe in developing strong grammar skills because they comprise well written wrting pieces. I have studied Spanish for over ten years and German for over five years. I have a BA from UCF in foreign language combination. I was a teacher's assistant for a second grade class in 1990 at Winegard Elementary School. I was a hearing-impaired interpreter at a YMCA youth camp for one week in 1990 at Tallahassee. For my last employer, I interpreted Spanish, German, and sign language for cast members and guests on a daily basis for almost 16 years. Additionally, I have tutored math, reading, and spelling for my nieces and nephews at the elementary level.
