Experience Summary
Ahrend R. Torrey is a Mississippi spiritual poet- painter. His poetry relates to nature and spirituality but most of all life and what he experiences through his life journey. Torrey delights in the fact that all things are poetry, and strives daily for the creative mission for which he has been called.
Torrey began writing poetry and painting at age 14; from the time of discovering his talent he held a conviction that his work would one day touch the world. Writer and personal historian, Thomas Gilbert, one of few who the poet has confide in, and who writes and has written about Torrey on several accounts, describes the artist as "a young man and poet with an incredible gift and strong faith.”
