Sociology is one of my top subjects! I am getting my PhD in the field.

I approach teaching and tutoring the way I approach sociology and human rights—with great enthusiasm and interest. Since my early college years, I felt the intense desire to make an impact in our world by influencing future generations. I wanted to wake up young minds to the multiple injustices taking place in their communities as well as around the world and instill in them the desire to change the world. The middle school, high school and college setting gives me the opportunity to engage the student in a stage of their lives where they are willing to try anything that may broaden their horizons. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2008, and will receive my Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences in May of 2010. Throughout the course of my college education, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. As an undergraduate student, I worked as a private tutor with extensive tutoring experience in all levels of mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, and ACT preparation. Learning is the first step to success, and I am a big advocate on academics. I take pride in teaching and making sure that the student is learning properly. Learning should be fun. I strive to make a point of this when ever I teach. I do this in both lectures and tests. I find a little humor takes the edge off test taking and allows the student to concentrate on the subject matter without being nervous.
I have taught Accounting courses at a JC and Business College in the St. louis area. I also taught Accounting and Finance courses at a Business College in Raleigh, NC. I enjoyed the experience and look forward to continuing.
