My last semester at FSU I internship with 1st grade students. I assisted students with areas they were struggled in and encouraged them to push themselves. During my ten-week internship at the middle school, I had five classes of sixth grade advanced reading students. Since each class was about 20 students, I had about 100 students in total. The middle school has about 908 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Of those students, 58% are white, 24% are black, 8% are Hispanic, 4% are Asian, and 6% are multiracial.
