I earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from USF in 2000. I became certified to teach K-12 grades in 2003. I taught 5th grade for one year and then Kindergarten for two additional years. My senior year in high school I was a tutor for a second grade elementary class, assisting the teacher with reading exercises, as well as correcting various assignments. In college I took part in the Junior Achievement program, teaching economics curriculum to third graders during the spring quarter of my senior year. After college I volunteered at the Renton History Museum from March 2007 to February of 2009 and the Tampa Bay History Center from March of 2009 to May 2009.
My teaching style is to help students find the answers on their own. By asking a series of questions you can help students to find their own answers and express them in their own way.
