A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that learning occurs through doing, particularly when it comes to writing. Students become better writers by putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). There are obviously techniques to be taught and encouraged, but individual discovery is key. As a tutor, I believe that it is my responsibility to serve as a guide, keeping learners on track and pointing out opportunities for getting closer to the ideal.

When I traveled to Costa Rica the first time to earn my TEFL certification, I knew that teaching was my vocation. I love teaching, and I have learned from teaching students of all ages how to apply my skills to meet the needs of my students.
