I have been educating people since 1987. I began in music education, which I taught successfully for 9 years, and also taught piano lessons. I then worked in special education for 1 year as an educational technician, where I tutored math, reading, and students with severe disabilities. I continued on a transitional certificate teaching elementary grades two and four, and most recently have taught post-secondary medical assisting students at a post secondary institution as well as teaching night courses in adult education in medical terminology and medical transcription. I am currently a Biology Major at the University of Southern Maine. I have completed my degree requirements for my BS, I’m finishing up by taking an additional 9 credits this semester before walking for graduation in the Spring, May 2011. During my four years in college I have taken 11 laboratory courses, providing me with extensive knowledge and experience in writing research papers, lab reports and scientific reviews.
