I am a certified music teacher from New York. I relocated in Florida in 2012 after retiring from public school music teaching. My major instrument is clarinet, and I teach all woodwind instruments, brass instruments and piano. My students range from beginners to most talented, experienced performers. I like to show students hands-on methods of solving problems. I believe this helps to make the information concrete and not easily forgotten. I feel each child learns differently and if one method does not succeed there is always another to try until we reach one that works for that child. I have also witnessed the effects of positive praise and reinforcement to help children build confidence in themselves.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching! I am so glad that I get to do what I love. While teaching, I have found a real love of tutoring. I feel it is a better way to meet the needs of my students. I believe many students learn at different rates and some students just need more time. Tutoring allows time for one on one interaction, where I as the tutor can find where the student has deficiencies. A Little Bit About Me...

To finance my education I have worked at a recreation center, supervising and mentoring children for 5 years. This enabled me to work with a variety of children and their personalities. I have earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in International Business and a minor in Economics.
