A Little Bit About Me...

I understand that all children learn differently and I am able to adapt my teaching style to fit the child. I am both patient and positive and I like to give the student confidence. My goal is to not only help the child learn, but to also give them a sense of confidence. It is important that each student believe in his or herself as well as their capabilities.
I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school. It was from this experience that I chose to go to college to become a teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am ESOL certified. I have experience as a substitute teacher and have worked with both elementary and middle school students.

Teaching is my passion and I thoroughly enjoy working with children. I especially enjoy working independently with children to help their social and academic needs. I strongly believe all children can learn; the mission is finding out HOW they learn. I believe once a child learns HOW they are unique, and how they learn, then they will become life long learners and will become eager and confident to learn. Creating a confident life long learner is my goal. I seek to first identify strengths in every child and use that as my foundation to build their knowledge upon.
