Have experience in all subjects listed as I have completed these courses myself; as a communications major I've worked in public relations and media though I have extensive freelance writing experience. Prior career experience includes non profit and healthcare related management as well as other positions which I believe have been important in obtaining the abilities needed to communicate successfully in many ways; this will directly assist me in tutoring though this is a new area for me outside of my home.

I really do not have a teaching style yet. A one on one setting is what I am used to. I am open to different teaching techniques depending on the help the child requires. The internet is available and has many different techniques to learning different subjects I can research as I see fit.
I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I have been told by my first year teaching mentor that my style of teaching is "unconventional". Although I majored in English, I had a concentration in creative writing and a minor in visual arts. I think of writing as an art, and so I use creative methods in the classroom to teach students. I believe our youth's attention span is getting shorter and shorter due to television/media and modern day technologies. As a teacher, it is imperative that you hold the child's interest. I want to empower others to have confidence and achieve something they can be proud of; to give them a healthy sense of self-worth. Each person thinks and analyzes differently. I will identify how each student learns best and then turn around and communicate information to them in relation to those strengths.
