My comments on tutoring Advertising : Senior, BA in communications, specialization in professional writing

Each individual has a distinct learning style which must be recognized in order to promote and facilitate better learning and achievement, it is essential that a teaching style in the format of tutoring match the students learning style.
Have experience in all subjects listed as I have completed these courses myself; as a communications major I've worked in public relations and media though I have extensive freelance writing experience. Prior career experience includes non profit and healthcare related management as well as other positions which I believe have been important in obtaining the abilities needed to communicate successfully in many ways; this will directly assist me in tutoring though this is a new area for me outside of my home.

I really do not have a teaching style yet. A one on one setting is what I am used to. I am open to different teaching techniques depending on the help the child requires. The internet is available and has many different techniques to learning different subjects I can research as I see fit.
I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I do not have professional experience teaching however I have experience tutoring my niece who I have been responsible for since she was 5. She is now 12 and a straight A student. I earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from USF in 2000. I became certified to teach K-12 grades in 2003. I taught 5th grade for one year and then Kindergarten for two additional years. I also spent a few years substitute teaching at the high school level. I enjoyed the experience of working with the older students as well as the younger ones. I have experience with FCAT preparation on the elementary level. I have a young son with special needs so I understand the challenges faced by students on many levels. My degree is journalism based.
