My teaching style is organized, simple with little confusion. I have had years of experience studying difficult concepts ranging from Chemistry, Physiology and Anatomy,
Mathematics, including Algebra and Pre-Calculus, Physics and the highest score in Advanced Radiobiology in 6 years at ISU. I have been on the Deans list and my grades exemplify good study habits and a deep understanding of difficult concepts.

I like to first get an idea of what the student knows about the problem.. I find that the more time I spend listening to what they know it naturally turns into what pieces I need to add-in. Unless they came to the session to learn new material that would be a different scenario entirely in which it would depend on the student how I taught. I would have to find out what type of a learner they are. Whether it be a visual learner, if they need examples or are an entirely conceptual type of learner. Throughout college I had extensive experience working with classmates while we solved math equations and physics problems together.
I did volunteer work teaching English to children in Mexico as well as teaching English to college age students in Mexico.

I spent 2 years in mexico teaching in spanish. During some of that time i was the teacher for english classes. I graduate this december with my bachelors in physics, experience of working with classmates and helping other students as they helped me gave me years of experience working as a team on homework assignments. I have found through my teaching that there is a motto that works very well in most situations. "Teach in such a way that it is impossible to not understand" basically if one can teach a complex subject in such a way that even a child can understand it then you are successful as a teacher. But with physics that is not always possible. It is all about the person learning not for me to hear myself talk and get through a lesson. All that matters in the end is what the student learned coming out of the the instruction.

Mark E - Rexburg, ID 83440 (23 mi) - Physics Tutor - $39.50/hr.
I am currently a student at Brigham Young University - Idaho where I am pursuing a degree in Biology with minors in Child Studies and Chemistry. This rigorous program has taught me the importance of fulfilling one's potential, the vitality of good study habits, as well as giving me an understanding of children and adolescents. The past two years I have participated in a youth summer program for high school-aged students. I was responsible for giving both formal and informal instruction in leadership skills, self-esteem, and religion. Since last year I have tutored college students in math, specifically in Algebra and Statistics. I feel that the biggest change for good that any one of us can make is in the lives of the children we find around us. I love teaching. I believe that any child can learn if given the right motivation, tools, and environment. The greatest success any teacher or

Wayne C - Rexburg, ID 83440 (23.6 mi) - Physics Tutor - $38.50/hr.
I specialize in math and science. These fields have complex ideas that I know are hard to approach as a student. Often times, students fail to see the real life applications of higher level math, and this can be a frustration. I emphasize the real life examples and applications of complex math and science. I believe anyone can understand math and science if they have a patient, understanding, and insightful mentor who can break down concepts into simple steps. I try my best to do these things when teaching others. Recently, I graduated with my BS degree in physics. This major requires a working knowledge of advanced mathematics, and its application to real life scenarios. Working in physics frequently requires learning complex concepts, and being able to explain those concepts to peers for feedback. My degree required I write a senior thesis. Working on my senior thesis helped m

Brian B - Blackfoot, ID 83221 (25 mi) - Physics Tutor - $38.50/hr.
I've worked as an engineer in the electronics and electrical engineering industry for 14 years. I have tutored children in math and science for the last 4 years, most recently in high school algebra and geometry. I believe in demonstrating how to do the work and then guiding the children as they apply what has been demonstrated. The best way to learn is by doing under supervised guidance. Once the children learn to apply the proper steps to accomplish the task at hand, the feeling of accomplishment drives them to continue on their own.

I love how all types of people have different ways of learning. I am very good at adapting to find out how best the person learns, so its not simply a boring exercise--more of the same, if you will.
Everyone deserves a chance to learn, and learn well, no matter what their circumstance or current education level. Everyone can succeed if they have the proper attitude and teaching. As teachers and tutors, we have the responsibility of making sure we can do everything we can to ensure everybody has a great, enjoyable experience. Graduating from BYU-Idaho, I've learned that a quality education is of the utmost importance, not only for college-age students, but starting from infancy. I've earned my BS in Health Science, enabling me to have a greater knowledge of the health and wellness field in general. Also, I've learned to publish various professional research papers, adding to my
