Experience Summary
I am currently a student at Brigham Young University - Idaho where I am pursuing a degree in Biology with minors in Child Studies and Chemistry. This rigorous program has taught me the importance of fulfilling one's potential, the vitality of good study habits, as well as giving me an understanding of children and adolescents. The past two years I have participated in a youth summer program for high school-aged students. I was responsible for giving both formal and informal instruction in leadership skills, self-esteem, and religion. Since last year I have tutored college students in math, specifically in Algebra and Statistics.
Teaching Style
I feel that the biggest change for good that any one of us can make is in the lives of the children we find around us. I love teaching. I believe that any child can learn if given the right motivation, tools, and environment. The greatest success any teacher or educator can achieve is to have the child get excited about learning. I believe that in order to learn, students must be allowed to explore.
