My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I have passed my AP Exam in high school with a 3. In college, I plan on majoring in Mathematics and I will continue to take more math courses.

I teach in many ways through a book or how I was taught by my teachers. I am open-minded and try to figure out what is the best way to teach a person I am trying to help.
I am currently finishing my first year in college. I have a High School diploma and an award as an AP Scholar. I enjoy math and I am passing my DS-71 math course with an A at Fresno State. Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

I have been at the top of my class in Mathematics ever since the first grade. In 7th grade I took and passed Algebra 1, which is a 9th grade level class. Ever since that I've taken classes in math that are two years ahead of my grade, up to Calculus 2 in 11th grade. I passed the AP test for calculus 1 and 2 in high school. My SAT score in math was 670 in 2009 which was higher than 89% of the graduating high school class in the nation.
I like to keep things simple, in class they make it sound complicated but in reality the process is quite the opposite and I can demonstrate effective ways to study and master the topics I am educated in. I can relate to most students, since I am only 19 years old and I'm a student myself at Fresno State University.

My comments on tutoring Calculus I : Earned an A at Fresno city college

I have very little experience in tutoring. I do however, have a B.A chem degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I can bring this experience to help others achieve what I have. I really is not that hard. I just takes lots of time, dedication, and sacrifice. I do have experience working with groups of other students, and have been giving out good study advice for years. However, If time and energy is not dedicated to studies, good results will not follow.
I only bring what helped me earn a 4.0 at fresno state and fresno city college.

I stated tutoring privately and through the college when I was a student myself to see if teaching was something I wanted to do as a career. I tutored all my college years and realized that this is exactly what I want to wake up for every day. I earned my BS and single subject in Mathematics from Fresno State University. I am a very down to earth person especially when it comes to kids. I always try to lighten up the mood and make learning things interesting and fun. I don't like to dismiss when I see a child having trouble in something. Every person has a different way of learning, I try to cater to each of their needs.
I have tutored children in reading last summer. It was one of the most gratifying things I have done. I worked with English as second language children ranging from ages 5 to 13.
