My comments on tutoring Elementary : Have experience in tutoring elementary students.

As the second oldest of six kids I have a lot of at-home experience in tutoring. With a BA in Biology I feel very equipped to teach children in sciences. I have taken Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics and every other major science. I intend on taking one year off before attending medical school. If your child needs help in any basic math or any level of science then I'd love to see if I could be a good tutoring fit for him/her. God bless!

My comments on tutoring Elementary : I have been an intern teacher in a third grade class room as well as worked with other young children. I am currently going to school to become an Elementary School teacher.

I have always wanted to teach! So any opportunity I got in high school I took it! I was enrolled in the teaching academy all through high school. Through this academy I got to intern/teach many different grade levels. I started with a kindergarten class and then moved up to 6th grade P.E. and Science, then I moved to 3rd grade. I was also hired by the school district to be an AVID tutor for 7th and 8th graders. I have danced most of my life so when I was offered to co-choreograph the plays at my old Middle School I took it and did that for four years. I am also currently volunteering at my church to teach a class for 3rd graders on Sundays.

I thoroughly enjoy helping students to gain a good understanding of their topics of study. I am very patient, and work hard to make sure that the student is comfortable in our sessions and with asking me questions. Being a student who had reading comprehension in early grades, I understand the shyness and frustration many students have with this difficulty. I respond to them with compassion, and often open up to them with a short story of my own experience. This way the student feels that I understand them and are more willing to learn the material I am trying to teach them. In the beginning I will sit down with the student and their parents to see what is their area of difficulty. A Little Bit About Me...

During my years as an undergraduate English major, I was drawn to the world of teaching and tutoring through two part-time positions, including one on-campus, with college-aged students, and one with elementary to high school-aged students. I loved seeing my students' pleasure at learning how to comprehend the words they read, to assimilate that information into an in-depth college essay, to finally grasp that one bit of knowledge that so alluded them.
