My comments on tutoring Elementary : I have been an intern teacher in a third grade class room as well as worked with other young children. I am currently going to school to become an Elementary School teacher.

Through the Teaching Academy I was in I learned all of the different the different teaching styles and how to teach them. I personally like the student to have structure but I understand they are young and need a little patience and time and with help and practice they will get it! Its just a matter of finding what works best for them and doing it.
I have always wanted to teach! So any opportunity I got in high school I took it! I was enrolled in the teaching academy all through high school. Through this academy I got to intern/teach many different grade levels. I started with a kindergarten class and then moved up to 6th grade P.E. and Science, then I moved to 3rd grade. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. There I had the opportunity to work as a Teacher's Assistant for undergraduates, which included private instruction during office hours, help with homework, grading, and occasionally leading courses. In addition to this, I tutored privately in Systems Physiology. Prior to my graduate studies, I pursued my bachelor's degrees in biology (with a minor in chemistry) and German. For these reasons, I feel that I am not only well-versed in the sciences and mathematics, but also that I have a good understanding of the humanities. I love teaching and interacting with willing minds. Teaching "runs in the blood", where my mother is an excellent teacher in the Huntsville City School District, my father was a former teacher and all of my aunts and uncles functions or functioned in some teaching capacity. I believe that teaching should be made enjoyable and not laborious. Teaching is my passion. Students need to be challenged, engaged, and eager to learn which is fueled by the enthusiasm of the teacher. I recognize that not every student in my classroom learns in the same manner. Various teaching methods need to be combined so that students have the opportunity to learn in multiple ways.
