I began my nursing career as a nursing assistant, worked as a LPN for 6 years before I became a RN in 2004. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2013 and am currently studying for a Masters of Nursing as an Educator. I have practiced mainly in the acute care arena with a focus on medical-surgical an progressive care nursing. I also have extensive experience in infusion therapy, abdominal transplant, diabetes education, and in home health and long-term care. I have been working at Hermitage High School in Henrico County as an English teacher for the past 4 years. I have taught 9th grade, but I have spent most of my time teaching 11th grade.
