My comments on tutoring Advertising : Taught Graphic Design I and II at a High School in Las Vegas, Nevada for three years. Students of mine attended Skills USA competition for Advertising and Design and placed 1st and 3rd.

I have a Bachelors of Science Degree. Before moving to the Memphis area I lived in Las Vegas, Nevada where I worked for the Clark County School District. I have 15 years total Graphic Design Experience. Three of the years I taught at the High School level. I taught Graphic Communications, Graphic Design I, and Graphic Design II. I also taught keyboarding and Yearbook, Publications I and II. All the other years I designed for the 5th largest school district in the states. Designing logos, flyers, brochures, business cards, programs, and much more.

I am a strong believer in teaching a student how to learn. By that I mean, students not only need to know a specific subject matter but also how to aquire and use knowledge. My background is mostly in math and it is what I enjoy teaching the most. I like to use manipulatives to teach. I think students learn better if they have a "hands-on" approach.
I am certified to teach in both California and Texas in a K-8th grdae classroom. In California I taught in a self contained 5th grade classroom. In Texas I taught 7th grade math. I also hold a supplementary credential in California for Business.
