Teaching children is a passion of mine. All children are different, therefore they learn in many ways. My preferred style of teaching is student-lead. I believe in the Socratic method, but appreciate following a curriculum, as well. I volunteer at a Montessori school and I know that getting learners of all ages interested and excited about a topic is the key to retention. For the past two years, I have been teaching journal-writing and college classes at the Louisville Comprehensive Care MS Center. Prior to that, I have tutored students ages 7-40 in a various set of topics, primarily math and business subjects.

During the pursuit of my degrees I worked tirelessly to excel. While in school I volunteered as a tutor for the local Boys and Girls Club. I tutored middle school and high school students in literature, math, science and history. Due to my degree in Library Science I have extensive knowledge in writing term papers and research methods.
