Personal, humorous, and energetic. I tailor games and activities to each class and do not think teaching directly from a text inspires many to learn. I was always interested in the Spanish language. My family had a Spanish housekeeper. She was like a grandmother and why I chose to take Spanish. Then I had a Spanish teacher who encouraged me to continue learning and I did. I studied a semester abroad in Costa Rica and lived there for 2 years, immersing myself in the language and becoming more fluent. To live down there I became certified in teaching English as a foreign language. During my 2 years in Costa Rica I worked for many institutes teaching students of varying ages and ability levels. I have a BS in Cybernetics Engineering. As an engineer, my knowledge of math and physics is high. As a student I solved so many operations involving calculus that I memorized the formulas and used them as fast as the multiplication tables. I am a native Spanish speaker. A Little Bit About Me...

I'm most interested in tutoring on the high-school or college level, but I do have experience teaching young children as well. I believe that the biggest impediment to learning a subject is anxiety, often from a bad classroom experience, so my approach focuses on beginning at the learner's level and making sure to check every concept before moving on to the next one.
