I gear my teaching style to the individual I am working with. In 14 years I have learned that even though a method may work for one student, it does not necessarily mean it will work for another. In the first few session I test a small variety of applicable teaching methods and adapt them as time goes on. In college I would help students by making study guides that listed detailed notes on the subject mater. Through my use of detailed notes and study guides the past can be connected to the present and the future. I have always been fascinated with the Spanish language: its phonology, expressions, and many forms of the Spanish language. That love of Spanish caused me to formally study the language, and earn a B.A. and an M.A. in Spanish. My interest in Spanish also took me to Paraguay, and Mexico, where I lived for over three years. Many of my employment positions allowed me to use my Spanish communication skills. I have tutored part-time for over 10 years, taught high school, and done some light translation.
