As a graduate of Sociology I have gained a lot of knowledge about how society functions. I was interested in this area of study to understand peoples because I have always had compassion for others. I have participated in a 4 unit class where i taught Spanish to 8-11 year old children and it consisted of developing a plan that included songs and dancing to learn Spanish in a fun and animated way. I have done research on homelessness, and had an internship with a non profit that provides social services for those in need. I am a graduate of UC San Diego earning a BS in Structural Engineering. I have a strong grasp of the math and science fields, and how concepts from each discipline overlap and interconnect. A Little Bit About Me...

I obtained the Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Virginia in 2010. My research field is experimental Nuclear Physics which requires strong computer programming skills in Advanced Mathematics as well as conference presentation skills. As a teaching assistant at the University of Virginia, I have had excellent opportunities to teach a variety of Physics and Mathematics courses for different majors during my graduate studies.
