I aim for all tutoring to be done in the target language, but I recognize that this is unhelpful for many students. Nevertheless, I will start out only using the target language, but will switch to the students' preferred language upon request. I am hard of hearing and I have used American Sign Language my whole life. ASL is my second language, used when I attended school and when I hung out with friends. I went to a school that offered ASL as a class and I took three years of ASL, skipping the first year. I was in the American Sign Language honor society and I graduated with the Laurent Clerc medallion.
