Experience Summary
I am currently working towards my M Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction:Reading at Grand Canyon University. I also completed my undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida. I have a year of in classroom teaching experience. While teaching had the wonderful experience of working in a self contained classroom with grades 4-6 teaching multiple subjects. I had the opportunity to plan and teach Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Health, and Physical Education to ESE (Exceptional Student Education) students with extreme learning disabilities.
Teaching Style
I am a constructivist teacher who enjoys teaching students of all learning capabilities and learning styles. I try my hardest to create a nurturing, friendly,comfortable and creative learning environment in which students are able to thrive and learn to their greatest potential. I promote literacy by providing a variety in all reading materials no matter what the subject area is. All students have their strengths and certain subjects which may need to be strengthened. I feel that it's up to us as educators to find those strengths and build on them and to help students grow in areas which may need strengthening.
