However, the CW course instilled in me knowledge in a variety of fields from film to philosophy, and as a requirement of modern education made me more than just fluent in the language of computers. I'm a would-be author, and a writer of short stories, and have won an honorable mention in a few poetry contests. In college I was frequently asked by friends in less liberal majors for help in writing papers and getting ideas across, because while a Biology major dreads the 25 page research paper, the English major just shrugs and says "I just wrote like, three of those yesterday."
