Experience Summary
I'm a recent college graduate from NC State, with a degree in Creative Writing. However, the CW course instilled in me knowledge in a variety of fields from film to philosophy, and as a requirement of modern education made me more than just fluent in the language of computers. I'm a would-be author, and a writer of short stories, and have won an honorable mention in a few poetry contests.
In college I was frequently asked by friends in less liberal majors for help in writing papers and getting ideas across, because while a Biology major dreads the 25 page research paper, the English major just shrugs and says "I just wrote like, three of those yesterday."
So I hope now I can help you get better grades or appreciably improve your standards of writing. I hope to at least teach you how to tackle papers and assignments, even in non-English courses, so that you can spend more time sleeping/playing halo/with your x-friend/getting a job/football/ or achieving academic excellence.
Teaching Style
I try to approach client's problems on a case by case nature: they have a particularly hard to write paper or a class that just isn't working for them, and I will try to work closely with them to find solutions.
I will not write a client's paper or perform any creative work for them, but I will edit or provide guidance as needed. While there are no shortcuts to an A, I will share what has worked for me and others in the real world.
My Hobbies
I write short stories, play video games, fix computers, and take care of my dog. When I'm not taking long naps.

I have worked as an IT assistant in a Charlotte based mortgage company where anything beyond sending funny pictures in the company email would have caused someone's head to explode, so I think I can help any student or eager adult grasp how to make the most out of man's new electronic best friend. |

| The enjoyment and analysis of any work of literature comes not only from close inspection, but also by dissecting the freebie interpretations of other readerss. On top of, of course, casual reading.
Waffled between this and my chosen major of Creative Writing, and even took extra courses on the subject that did not count towards my degree. All major Lits covered by all major schools, world to specific countries, eras. |

| Technically, I prefer Open Office, the free Office alternative, but the basics of operation and formatting are the same. Even if I don't know something related to your needs, I can help teach you how to help yourself find out. Any program you don't understand is only difficult and complicated because a user is either unwilling or doesn't have the time to get intimate with a program's workings. |

| I once got an A+ on a presentation I made overnight with only my liner notes and free images from Google, and YOU CAN TOO!
Seriously though, what makes for a good presentation isn't what you pack into a .ppt file, but rather how you do all the work outside the presentation. What you say in your speech and narration should actually carry most of the information you're trying to give, and the presentation should instead only hold visual aids or bullet points. |

| As an English major who sauntered through college, I know that a decent grade on a paper comes regardless of your skill or ability with writing or reading, but rather from how well you make note of the important ideas and events of what you have to read. In the lower grade schools, proving to the teacher that you've read the material is often enough to get a good grade, while in high school and college the key is to mention or display the ideas of the author that your teacher has been beating you over the head with. |

| Last I checked, my typing speed was 65 wpm. Simple games and constant practice/interaction in a world of digital communication are what it takes to get the words out of your head and into a keyboard. Almost all my tutoring help requires that the student be able to write on a keyboard, and I am always glad to help improve typing skills. |

| As a graduate creative writing major, I know at least the basic tenets of writing. Writing is the act of carefully considering one's words, only on paper and with the advantage of having time to pick them out compared to speaking. Grammar, logical sentences, and communicating ideas efficiently are what I can help you learn, with emphasis on how you can do so with modern technologies. Specifically because my handwriting is terrible, and the art of writing has grown by leaps and bounds thanks to the keyboard. |
