Given the right atmosphere, I honestly believe anyone can learn. Unfortunately, many individuals are given labels, especially regarding their learning capacity, and once that belief system is in place, the expectations are often lowered and self-esteem suffers. I believe in positive encouragement and support, while working through difficulties with a 'can do' attitude on my part which then becomes, with reinforcement and consistency, the belief of the child.
