Something I have always enjoyed while tutoring is the moment that the student 'gets it'. In order to properly prepare the student for their future education, you must show them the importance of the process of learning. The idea of the process builds the student's ability to work independently, thus giving them a valuable life lesson. I believe every student is special and learns in different ways, and I try to adapt quickly to their learning style. I also incorporate a wide variety of methods to keep the student's interest and excitement in the subject. If the student can see how the subjects can relate to their future and everyday life, it will increase their desire to learn.

For four years I taught in private schools, where I gave instruction at the middle and high school levels in English, French, Hebrew, computer programming, and office applications (spreadsheets, etc). I taught Math and English for one year at a Huntingdon Learning Center (elementary through high school students). Prior to this I taught French and Linguistics courses at the State University of NY at Albany where I earned a degree in each of those fields. Later I became a database administrator. Today I develop web applications in the C# programming language and the Transact SQL query language. I have also given private music lessons over the years to a total of 20 to 30 students. I play guitar, trumpet, a little piano, and I sing.
