A Little Bit About Me...

A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production, I used my AP-level English background to tutor international students at the college in English reading, writing, and speaking. Throughout my education, I have continually excelled in my English courses, studying everything from the classics to modern styles. My experience working at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in Public Relations strengthened my writing skills as I contributed articles and artist biographies to the Orchestra's 'Performance' magazine and e-newsletter. Currently, I am writing a book proposal for a client in the biography/memoir genre.

For four years I taught in private schools, where I gave instruction at the middle and high school levels in English, French, Hebrew, computer programming, and office applications (spreadsheets, etc). I taught Math and English for one year at a Huntingdon Learning Center (elementary through high school students). Prior to this I taught French and Linguistics courses at the State University of NY at Albany where I earned a degree in each of those fields. Later I became a database administrator. Today I develop web applications in the C# programming language and the Transact SQL query language. I have also given private music lessons over the years to a total of 20 to 30 students. I play guitar, trumpet, a little piano, and I sing.
