American History is one of my top subjects! I have lived in many historical places throughout the USA and am a huge history buff. I am a certified teacher in German and have my Masters in Secondary Education. I have taken over 30 credits in history including American History through film. I have lived in Gettysburg PA for three years and Richmond area in Virginia for two.

My teaching style is student centered. I will adapt the information according to the type of learner you are. I understand that no two students learn the same way. I create scaffolding lessons and activities focused on differentiated learning styles from hands-on learner to visual learner. My goal is to promote student learning, achievement, and success.
Since 2008, I have been a teacher and just relocated from teaching German at a high school in Pennsylvania to beautiful Sarasota. My comments on tutoring American History : I can help with High School or College American History, including Civil War and Reconstruction.

I have done private tutoring of high school students in math from pre-algebra to calculus and in other subjects. I have also home schooled adopted daughters from lower grades to high school level, including teaching English as a second language. Took three years of college courses on Psychology at Ashford University, trained with a Computer Troubleshooting Specialist for four years, have two books of my own written word poetry published. In my time at Ashford I picked plenty of shareable skills, study skills, time management, and using my keyboard to it's fullest potential to meet deadlines. While training with the Computer Troubleshooter, I learned more about how to use software and typing/keyboard shortcuts to utilize computers to their full potential.
