I have a good knowledge, through study and experience, of the APA and MLA writing styles, as well as a working knowledge of how to successfully utilize the helpful and popular Purdue Writing Lab (OWL). I believe that a student should have the time to figure things out on their own, but with guidance from their tutor or teacher. I think I should provide a student with all the tools they need, and then through example I will teach a student to figure things out for themselves. There is no other way that I know of to quickly build the confidence of a student and the belief in one's self, than to teach a student how to figure out problems on their own.
