I attended Kunming Art Institute in Yunnan, China for junior and senior high school and than studied with Professor WeiJian Zhao from Central Music Conservatory in Beijing. I hold both AA and AS degree from Pasadena City College. where I served as the assistant concert master for many semesters. I also studied violin with Prof. Jay Zhong, former violin Professor at California State University, Los Angeles. In 1997 I was a teacher assistant for the Huntington Park High School music department. I ran rehearsals with the marching band, jazz band, jazz choir, beginning orchestra, and beginning band. In April of 2000 I started working at Middleton Street School where I had the music program under my direction for almost ten years.
