Experience Summary
I took music lessons for over 10 years, and can empathize with students as they learn and practice. I have one year experience in tutoring 4th graders in math and English, and have one year experience in tutoring elementary students in music theory and education. As a nutrition student and future dietitian, part of job includes counseling patients on nutrition and a healthy diet. This often requires translating my knowledge and education into ways that other people can easily understand and relate to.
Teaching Style
I am patient, understanding, and trustworthy. I am a firm believer in perseverance and learning from ones mistakes in order to grow as an individual, as is portrayed by one of my favorite quotes: “Life is like photography – it takes the negatives to develop”. Due to my training and experience in school, I can quickly change my teaching and counseling methods to best fit what the student needs. All children have the potential to do well in school – they just need to be given that chance.
