Experience Summary
In addition to B.A. degrees in Mathematics and Psychology, I have experience as a Software Engineer, a Pharmacy Technician, and a Professional Musician. I have tutored children from ages 14 to 18 in English, Mathematics, History, and Music over a period of two years. I have provided them with an excellent role model for dealing with friends, teachers, employers, and other social contacts in the future.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is totally interactive. I plan each lesson before initiating it with the student. I first inform the student what will be covered in the lesson, and then question him or her to determine background knowledge and capability. At each step of the lesson, after presenting the material, I ask the student questions to determine the resultant level of understanding, and after the lesson is completed, I give a test to document the results. I keep a diary of the interactions for myself and other teachers for the future.
