My comments on tutoring Shakespeare : Took Shakespeare in college and have studied some of his writing over the years. Have not formally taught Shakespeare, but have explored a couple of his sonnets in my class.

I have been a special education teacher in the Apache Junction Unified School District since August 2008 where I began as an inclusion teacher at Thunder Mountain Middle School as an emergency certified special education teacher. In order to maintain my job, I got my master's degree in Cross-Categorical Special Education. I have taught in a self-contained classroom, a resource language arts classroom as well as a co-teacher in Language Arts and Science. I have written many Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and have made sure that students in special education receive the services specified in the IEP. An outstanding teacher knows that ‘practice makes perfect’. I drill my students, thus obviating the fact that ‘practice makes perfect’. This rule, however, does not only apply to my classes, it also applies to my instructional techniques. I have a big heart and teach using my heart. I teach towards all learning abilities slowing down when I need to or speeding up the process if need be. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a quite versatile and adaptive teaching style. I try to tailor my approach to the strengths and specific needs of my students. I have taught a few different subjects including Reading, Math, Grammar and English in a variety of different grade levels.
I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University. I plan to become a high school teacher. I have experience tutoring and mentoring high school and elementary students. I was a mentor in high school and a National Honor Society tutor for 3 years. I also tutored elementary school students for a semester (part of America Reads and Service Learning). I also worked with Head Start while in Key Club during high school.
