A Little Bit About Me...

As a newly graduate from Northern Arizona University, I earned a BS in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology also 3 minors including: Mathematics, Spanish, and Chemistry. Over the past four years I have gained the understanding in various studies. Also I have written many research papers and laboratory reports in the sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Forestry. I have tutored High School students in math for AIMS and a high school student in Biology.
I enjoy working with children, young adults, and adults. Teaching others in any way is beneficial for them and in the long run for me. I am a friendly and patient person that cares about the education of others and myself. Learning can be difficult at times and a tutor or teacher might be needed. Everyone can learn anything they put their mind to, all that is needed is the right way of doing it.

Through my years of teaching I have worked with a variety of learners with different needs. I have worked with children with Autism, ADHD, gifted children, and children with strong emotional needs. I have had to approach each individual differently and focus more on the way they learn, and less on the way I teach. I try and approach teaching from a position of equality, in which I can show what I know, and not what my students don't. As an artist, I am an extremely visual learner, and try and use visual aids whenever possible, which I have found work well for most everyone. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Elementary Education and BA in Special Education-MR, LD, ED, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of children with special needs.
