I love working with children. I believe that all child can learn. Some may need different way or even different materials to find academic success. I think of myself as a facilitator in the child"s learning. This is a learner-centered teaching style that is very compatible with teaching children of all ages. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Elementary Education and BA in Special Education-MR, LD, ED, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of children with special needs. I have worked as a social worker for many years. As a social worker, doing therapy with people is a complicated form of teaching, mentoring, counseling. I a one time for approximately one year taught adults preparing for their GED, or high school diploma. I have worked as a child and family therapist. I also wrote for a newspaper for one year and have many clippings. Facilitating, building relationship, mentoring, supporting, encouraging, and content instruction. I believe it is easier for someone to learn if they believe you care about them and trust you are working in their best interest.

I have been teaching since 2005, and doing one-on-one tutoring for just as long. I graduated with a BA in Anthropology, and an MA in Philosophy and Religion.
