My teaching style is very interactive & I develop an individual lesson plan for each student based on his/her needs. I've taught Chess professionally for 12 years. While the best instruction is always one-on-one; I've taught Chess in afterschool club settings, park district group programs, & as a private tutor. More & more nowadays elementary schools are offering Chess as an after school program. I've taught 1,000's of kids Chess at 100's of elementary schools of all types. I would seek to emulate the university style of lecture and assigning hands on projects. I believe this is the most effective model since it provides repetition, allowing the student to better memorize the material.
