I have been teaching special education for six years. I taught special education to kindergarten through third grade in a Montessori school for four years. I have experience in teaching students with disabilities in reading, writing, and math. Many of my students have also been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional impairments. I am currently teaching my second year at a center-based school for autism. In my teaching career, I have used a variety of hands-on material and visuals. I am also a native German speaker. In 2007 I had the wonderful opportunity of being one of two teachers at the Ann Arbor Academy's lower school for students with learning disabilities. I have worked as a Teacher's Assistant for three years where I did extensive tutoring with one student over the course of the year.
