Experience Summary
I originally went Michigan State University to become an Occupational Therapist and I received a BS in Kinesiology. However, when I began to substitute teach on the side, I immediately fell in love with teaching. Last year, I enrolled in graduate school at Marygrove College and I am currently working on my Master’s in Special Education. I have gained experience both teaching and tutoring in the last three years, as I work as a substitute teacher. I have worked as a long term sub for an 8th grade Science and Math class. I have seen first hand the difference a teacher can make in a child’s life, and I want to be one who helps! I want to give back to others what my teachers and tutors gave to me.
Teaching Style
As a teacher, it is my responsibility to enhance children’s learning using a variety of strategies. I value children’s education, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. I will have high expectations for all students. I believe in each and every student and will expect nothing less than excellence.
I am motivated, energetic, hard-working, and willing to take every child to that next level. I am passionate about teaching and making sure each and every child gets what they need to be successful in my classroom and life. If I can accomplish this, my goals will be achieved.
