I am a very interactive teacher. I want feedback so I can see the progress the student is making. If they are not getting something, I make adjustments and change tactics. I teach tot he student(s). Everyone learns differently. And sometimes by the time I get to them student, it has nothing to do with their ability but more their confidence because of previously bad experiences. Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects! I am interested in teaching this at elementary school level.

My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : Focuses lie in both literal readings of the material and subtext (symbolism, character agenda, etc.)

I will have graduated from the University of California, Irvine as of June, 2015 with a B.A. in Cognitive Sciences. Throughout high school and college I have had an extensive history with writing and literary fiction, both in reading and writing. My last teaching job was as an instructor in martial arts for both kids and adult classes. Before that, I was a private tutor for two years. Currently I am in the process of finishing a genre fiction manuscript.
