I have always been interested in American Sign Language. I took classes in high school and passed them with A's. Soon after graduating I decided to go to Palomar College and took ASL 3 and 4 and fell in love with the language even more so. After taking the Awareness of Deaf Culture class , I decided to pursue the major. I am currently an interpreting student and recently finished my first year of the ASL/ English Interpreting Program. I will be in Interpreting 3 in the Fall semester of 2015. After accessing the student's level of the language, I will provide tutoring services to teach ASL vocabulary, grammar and non manual markers including facial expression and mouth morphemes of the language.
