I have always had a passion for teaching/helping children discover the pleasure of learning. I enjoy very much working with different cultures/languages -it is a learning experience for me. I believe each individual has unique ways of learning and interests, so the lessons should be taylor for the individual.
I started preparing to teach when I came to the United States right after high school from a country with a language other than English by learning English; I then had the opportunity to attend college for a short while and then teach my own children -they were home-taught up to tenth grade. I worked as a teacher assistant for about six months and as a substitute teacher for about ten years. I found that students I tutored found it easier to understand complex concepts when their individual needs could be addressed one on one. As a microbiology student, I have taken rigorous courses in the sciences as well as math.
