One of my favorite past-times is teaching and mentoring. I have helped my youger siblings and cousins broaden their skills in sciences and math. I strive to bring out the best in people when I teach them by using everyday activities and examples that they can easily relate to. I find all children are capable when the right methods and approaches are used in teaching them. Giving them homework and assignments to do on their own after classes helps them to assimilate what they have been taught. In my first semester of graduate school, I was a teaching assistant in a 3000-level course with about 20 students.
