Experience Summary
In my first semester of graduate school, I was a teaching assistant in a 3000-level course with about 20 students. I found the class very exciting as the students where very diligent and always did their pre-lab before each class, making the class easier for them to understand. I have tutored privately at various times helping high school students prepare for SAT and GRE math sections, having scored very well in those exams myself. I am fluent in the English language and have great communication skills as is required for any student in graduate school.
Teaching Style
One of my favorite past-times is teaching and mentoring. I have helped my youger siblings and cousins broaden their skills in sciences and math. I strive to bring out the best in people when I teach them by using everyday activities and examples that they can easily relate to. I find all children are capable when the right methods and approaches are used in teaching them. Giving them homework and assignments to do on their own after classes helps them to assimilate what they have been taught.
